DSC_3545Dear 2nd Session Families and Friends –

What a day! Through the rain and fog, our travel staff and unit leaders persevered to get each and every one of our campers safely to Johns. Even with damp clothes and gray skies, spirits were high and there was a buzz in the air once all the boats had arrived to our dock. Everyone quickly put on warm clothing, did a quick tour of camp and then came to the lodge for a wonderful pasta dinner. With full stomachs we enjoyed some after dinner singing (including Wild Mountain Thyme), announcements and then bonding time in the unit and general settling in. We will all sleep well tonight!

We feel incredibly fortunate to get to spend this quality time with your camper and we are so looking forward to the coming weeks. I will be posting a few pictures and giving you interesting tidbits on upcoming activities throughout the session, but the real details of your camper’s experience will come directly from them at the end of camp. You have given them a wonderful gift by supporting their camp experience and helping them discover new character traits, gain independence and grow new friendships.

Thank you for believing in what we do. Here’s to a wonderful session!

In the Spirit of Camp –

Sheila, Director
