“Back in the day” campers from First Session walked off the ferry in Anacortes and passed Second Session campers as they boarded the ferry. It was an emotionally charged moment for everyone. In the mid 80’s a day in between sessions was added, and now, on Johns, we have a two-day break to allow everyone a chance to reflect on the past session, prepare for the new session and to rest. Mission accomplished.
First Session campers are home, enjoying showers, flush toilets, hugs from family. Second Session campers will soon be waking up to their first full day on Johns Island. The summer continues to unfold and we are grateful for the opportunity to be a part of it.
