Enrollment Information ~ 2016 Season
Short Session (two weeks), ages 9 - 10
Our two-week session gives our youngest campers a solid introduction to the program and allows parents and campers to adjust to being apart for an extended period of time. These campers have access to our entire program with the exception of the High Ropes Course and Kayaking.
At this time, we are no longer accepting applications for the 2016 two-week Archer and Explorer Units. Both units in both sessions are full and we also have full waiting lists. Please call our office if you'd like more information.

Regular Session (four weeks), ages 11 - 16
Our four-week session is the cornerstone of our program. These campers will have access to all programs, with the curriculum in most areas being progressive. For example, overnights for younger campers will be on the camp property. As campers advance in age their overnight trips will involve travel away from Johns Island to near-by marine parks or other San Juan Island properties. Only campers 13 years of age and older (7th - 10th grade) will participate in the extended trips of 4 to 5 days.

Our mission is to bring a diverse group of young people together to experience a challenging program and be part of a strong community. In support of that mission, we offer a Tiered Tuition Schedule for our Short and Regular Sessions. This fee structure will help maintain the quality of our program, broaden our community, and let you choose the level of participation that best fits with your family situation.
TIER ONE: Covers a large portion of a camper's programming expenses. Requires our board of directors and community to do annual fund raising to provide additional support.
TIER TWO: Covers most of the of actual expenses for a camper to attend.
TIER THREE: Covers the full cost of having a child at camp and assures that the value of the camp experience will be sustained for years to come.

Fees above include laundry costs and ground transportation to and from camp from the Seattle area.
We also require a deposit for Trader Horn, our camp store, of $50 for Short Session campers and $75 for Regular Session campers. Any portion not used by your camper will be refunded and any charges beyond your Trader Horn deposit that your child incurs will be reconciled with your final bill after the camp session.
A $750 deposit must accompany every application ($150 non-refundable). A payment schedule and cancellation fee schedule is available on request and is emailed to every family upon registration.
Explore Nor’wester - Family Camp Preview Session
Explore Nor’wester is an end-of-season session that may help you decide if camp is right for your child. For four days at the end of August, you and your prospective camper(s) can check out the property, meet the Directors, participate in many activities, and get a feel for our facilities and program. Enrollment is open to children 7-13 years of age and their parents or guardians. Younger siblings may attend with the family but must be at least 3 years of age.
