Dear Parents and Friends,

It’s been an action-packed last week, and many exciting things have been happening, including the oldest four units being out on big trips! They are due to arrive back at camp tomorrow and we are anxious to hear stories from their trips.

When we last wrote, we were about to celebrate Island Fair Day (which happened to coincide with Floral Friday, as seen in the first picture below). Thought you might enjoy seeing some of the pictures from the day. It was a beautiful, sunny day and perfect weather for being outside We enjoyed making pies, milk carton boats, setting up booths, making signs, running in the Fun Run, eating watermelon, splashing in the water during the Regatta, and of course, ending the day with our famous Carnival. So many unique booths!

DSC_8719 DSC_8723We also had to say good-bye to our wonderful Archers and Explorers (short session campers) on Tuesday morning. They finished with a bang – fully immersing in all the camp activities up to the last minute – and were even honored in different ways at the Farewell Campfire – through skits, haikus, awards and songs.

For those of you traveling to Johns this weekend for Visitors’ Day – safe travels – and we look forward to meeting you! Coming up: photos and a special blog post from our Photographer, Scott, from what we call ‘Small Camp’ as well as Nell Robinson Day and more.

Warmest Wishes from our Easy, Breezy Island!
