Casey McKay

Casey (he/him) is back in the role as Grounds & Facilities Assistant after previously serving in the role from 2018 to 2020. Having been a longtime camper and staff, no one has more love for Nor'wester and Johns Island than Casey does (although many may claim to...). On any given summer's day, you can find Casey out on a boat run, unclogging a drain, or even bletching a plate or two at dinner. The possibilities are endless. Fun fact: Casey was one of the first ever recipients of the golden bletch bucket award as a camper - for bletching every meal, every year he was a camper (newbies ask a friend what bletching is). 

While not at camp, Casey likes to spend his free time hiking with his dogs, going to the movies, and getting in an occasional round of golf. He's been known to sing a camp song or two (OR THREE) around a campfire every once in a while, so if you pester him enough you might get him to sing. Casey is thrilled to be back working at camp again, taking care of the island as best he can!
